Kate Arnold Columbia Valley Riesling
Riesling
Spicy Asian cuisine shines here, such as Thai curries, tikka masala (with warm spices like cinnamon, cumin, coriander, and cardamom), Szechuan pork, or Indian vindaloo—the residual sugar cools the heat while the acidity refreshes the palate. Seafood pairs wonderfully, from sushi and raw oysters to crab cakes, poached salmon with fresh herbs, scallops, shrimp, or simply grilled fish like trout or sole—the citrus and mineral notes enhance briny or delicate flavors.
A soft and subtle mix of honeydew melon and honeysuckle is pierced by sharp notes of ginger and lemon peel. Acidity that makes its presence known without stinging the lips gracefully complements the wine’s lemon-curd and peach flavors. This is a very pleasing wine that represent excellent value.
Kate Arnold Riesling Columbia Valley 2024 is a 100% Riesling crafted from grapes sourced from family-owned vineyards in Washington's Columbia Valley AVA, including notable sites like Four Feathers and Zillah Ranch. This vintage maintains the producer's signature minimal-intervention style, with fermentation and aging done entirely in stainless steel tanks to preserve freshness, purity of fruit, and vibrant acidity—no oak is used, allowing the wine's bright character to shine through. The result is an off-dry to semi-sweet expression (with balanced residual sugar) at around 12.5% ABV, featuring pale yellow color with crystal clarity.
